NEW WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ANNOUNCED FOR ÉLAN
Phoenix, AZ - October 3, 2007 - The Media Services Group (MSGL) has finalized a partnership agreement with Wright Business Solutions, Inc. (WBS), a Wisconsin-based Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) software developer, to embed their WMS applications into the Élan™ Framework, MSGL's flagship software platform. Details of the deal will allow MSGL to integrate and resell WBS’ WMS software, which includes out-of-the-box Radio Frequency (RF) workflow management, to current and prospective customers.
"WBS provides a key service to our book publishing customers who are looking for advanced warehouse management integration," explains Jeff Shine, President and CEO of The Media Services Group. "This is a powerful and exciting extension of our Book Publishing software product line."
The new package, named Élan WMS™, will be available for all MSGL customers running the latest versions of CISPUB, The Cat’s Pajamas and Élan Book with SQL Server or Oracle databases. It will extend on current system functionality that manages the pick, pack, ship, receipts and returns processing with a number of new features, including:
- The ability to define and monitor Real-Time KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators)
- Optional RF integration for real-time workflow updates
- Automated messaging system for delivering internal and external (via email) notifications based on user-selected events
- Rules-based inventory put-away logic
- Configurable picking – pick to box, pick and pass, pick to cart, bulk pick and pack, order consolation and more
- Automated replenishments based on user-defined triggers
- Capture of ASN information and custom label generation
- Dock door management for carrier and trailer assignments and RF loading
- Item versioning for tracking different versions of the same product
- Capture of space rental and fulfillment services allowing for third party fulfillment billing
- Customer visibility of inventory and order status for fulfillment service providers
