UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA PRESS UPGRADES TO CAT'S SQL

The University of Virginia Press (UVaP) has reached an agreement with The Media Services Group to purchase the Cat's-SQL Upgrade. Details of the deal will provide UVaP with both the Cat's Warehouse Packing Module, a native interface to the Élan™ SQL Database and various integrated Élan modules, including: Élan Analytics (an excel-based data analysis tool), Élan Web Reporting (a web based report writer), and Élan Rights & Royalties. As part of the upgrade, the press will also receive updates and enhancements to the core Cat's Pajamas system.

UVaP was founded in 1963 to advance the intellectual interests of the University of Virginia and institutions of higher learning throughout the state. UVaP currently publishes fifty to sixty new titles annually, with 1,000 titles in print. The Press' editorial program focuses primarily on the humanities and social sciences with special concentrations in American history, African American studies, southern studies, literature, ecocriticism, and regional books.
