RIGHTS & ROYALTIES RELEASED
We are proud to announce the pre-release of ÉLAN Rights & Royalties, our next generation, browser-native application for Intellectual Property (IP) management. Based on our SQL and .NET platform, Rights & Royalties delivers a number of important benefits in three key areas: technology, functionality and usability.
Technically speaking, this is a 100% browser-based application. No plug-ins, Java applets or other "false" browser deployment methodologies. It is based on the latest release of the .NET framework and provides out-of-the-box integration with any modern accounting and order processing systems. Our customers have the option of deployment on SQL Server, Oracle or the free SQL Server Express. It will run natively on any client platform that can run the latest version of Internet Explorer or Firefox, which includes both PCs and MACs.
Functionally, this new release is based on our experience with over 100 royalties implementations. It incorporates all of the Rights & Royalties functionality found in both BookWorks and CISPUB as well as a long list of additional items built to address anticipated and emerging needs. So not only do we cover all of the bases for book and music publishers, we have also created some very forward thinking and innovative features. For example, the new system is fully capable of handling fractional content sales such as chapters or smaller pieces of digital content.
In terms of User Experience, we are leveraging the very latest in web technologies to provide a smooth and clean interface that is not like anything you are likely to have seen before. Everything about the interface is geared towards workflow processes, intelligently anticipating what you need to do and putting it right in front of you.
