Business has its challenges. Your software doesn't have to be one of them.
São Paulo, Brazil - February 9, 2007 - The Media Services Group, a leading provider of integrated publishing and event management solutions, recently announced the opening of a new office in Brazil. Based in the city of São Paulo, MSG Brazil will sell and support a number of core software applications that have been translated into Portuguese and adapted for the Brazilian marketplace, including the latest releases of Ad Manager, Sales Prospector and Right & Royalties.
"The publishing market in Brazil has grown significantly over the past several years and we see a number of great opportunities here," explained Frank Skwirut, Vice President of MSG Brazil. "There simply aren't many software options for Brazilian publishers looking for flexible and dynamic business systems. Our value proposition is very simple: Better software means better business."
Ad Manager and Sales Prospector, two of the applications being introduced to the Brazilian market, operate as an integrated system for managing complex ad sales and billing. Based on their industry leading counterparts in the North American and European markets, these new offerings provide substantial upgrades to the more common mass-market solutions used by many local publishers.
"We have seen an increase of more than 85% in the number of published magazines in the last 6 years," said Frank, "while readership has grown at a slightly slower rate. As competition increases in this area, the successful publishers will be those who can identify and adapt quickly to changing trends. This is where we come in, with comprehensive and flexible software applications built for these exact needs."
The other application being introduced into the Brazilian marketplace this year is the Rights & Royalties system, built to manage the complexities of royalties tracking and payments as well as intellectual property ownership and rights sales.
"This is another area where we see a core publishing function that is quite often neglected," explained Frank. "There are really two things to look at here. The first is author care and retention, which boils down to paying your authors and contributors consistently and accurately. The second is understanding and managing your intellectual property as an asset and building it into another source of revenue for your business and your authors."
