BOOKS INTERNATIONAL TO UPGRADE FROM CAT'S PAJAMAS TO ÉLAN
Books International (BI), a well-known publisher/distributor based in Dulles, VA, has elected to implement an integrated Élan system after more than 19 years on the Cat's Pajamas. As part of the agreement, The Media Services Group will provide BI with licenses of Élan Book, Circ, Financials (AP, GL and Fixed Assets), Rights and Royalties, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Analytics (excel-based data analysis), RPM (web-based reporting) and Web Services. The increased scope and functionality of the Élan system will allow BI to streamline operations and offer new services to their publishing clients.
Since 1984, BI has served a wide variety of publishing clients with data processing, customer service, and pick/pack/ship operations. The company currently serves around 30 publishing clients, including Kumon Publishing and Stylus Publishing.
